what is home?
got a friend or maybe the lost love of my life or maybe the biggest asshole i crossed paths with...dunno which one yet. what i do remember is that he keeps saying he does not know the meaning of 'home'. at some point, the meaning becomes clear to us...

old BLU project in berlin, but the music!
by now probably everyone has seen this little film of BLU contributing to the walls of berlin.
what i can't shake out of my head (and i think i shouldn't) is the amazing song on the background. it's the berliner dj-cum-painter siriusmo , a shy appearance in the local electronic music scene, originally a punk musician, when punk still had a word to spread out. there's no label behind him, but he collaborates with 'der jungs' from modeselektor(moderat) . i never saw any of his works, but he calls painting his job, while music just a hobby with no artistic pretension. it's gets better when he starts lining up the unexpected names of camille or phoenix on which he'd like to remix. on top of that he has a rather kewl one of marlene dietrich's "ich bin von kopf bis fuss auf liebe eingestellt". techno meets romantic, oder? ok, if you're not inlove yet, i should tell you that the man makes music for his bike.his socio-phobia stops him from using public transport so he always rides his bike or walks. he gets ideas on his bike. i'll try getting ideas while listening to his truff on my bike for now on. check out "mein neues fahrrad" and disregard the writing on the screen. i fuck (pardon my French!) on the sound of nature, not on electro :D
oh, the info is fresh from a magazine article that i read last night while not working on my school stuff. today i decided by hazard to download the music from the BLU video forgetting it was siriusmo once again!

Birdie N-am N-am :(
This blog needs a New Birth, not necessarily a french, charming one, but a revival !
verdamnte scheisse, zis is Germany and it's swarming with reasons to write.
Damn white screen nausea and clumsiness with words, and the lazyess...be gone, never to let matters die again!
Birdy Nam Nam (which you can also find as 'Birdie') are playing in berlin, precisely when i'm taking wing to Weimar, that is on the 1st of May weekend. Bar 25 will also open its narrow door to hipster-land...and many nasty fumes will fill this city on a swamp. e-nough about berlin, let's be melancolic and try not to desecrate Goethe's gartenhaus out of frustration. but jesus, look at the line-up the size of toilet paper roll at the opening. what i'd like to know is whether kate moss is throwing her own stash in the game or would two or three ibiza puppets have to help her our again. either way, happy sodoma and gomorra mashing up! see you next week :D

what was that noise?

would i be too horrible if i said i didn't like it?too uninspiringly violent, too nasty, smoky, fiendishly vibrating, non-entertaining, made me think of people punishing themselves. thanks god i found a couch and another battered soul in the person of c.
the intro part of silent strike was worth the trouble, but not the rest of the techno-mumbo-jumbo amon tobin unfortunately sounded like. it ended abruptly (phiu!) with no after-nothing to the puzzlement of the people from other parts of the country/world gathered to see this.
relief, shared a cab, ditched the rain and fast asleep.

cats in bowties
many things i love put together: stop-motion animation, nina simone, cats, talk of the horrowful beibi, black-and-white...
as you can guess it is beautiful aardman animation:

who's got THE CURE?

have a confession. had to abandon my usual whereabouts for a short while due to some doggy business. stumbled upon these dubious characters with flashy neon lighting and emotional guitars. one of them was wearing his hair in a rigid nuclear-mushroom shape, had bright red lipstick and glossy black eyes complimented by lots of make-up. they were singing these tear-jerking songs about pictures and love and trains and spidermen and fridays and summers and halos and heaven...almost unbearable.
i woke up in a strange hostel room unable to move my lips for hi, bye or thanks, with their tunes engraved on the back of my brain/heart and just bailed outa there.
back to my old lumpy self again, but please don't play this music around me again, cuz i might burst out in a frenzy and it's not a pretty sight.
ta-ta!
PS: it was a huge crowd of 7043 people beside myself listening to these freaks for 3h, and they all left the premises with their inflated hearts up in their throats.

KOOP de foudre
amazing song and video, a touch of postmodern perpetual self-victimization, but hey, who doesn't?
just two splendid people behind this delicious music- Oscar Simonsson and Magnus Zingmark-your typical dyed black haired sweeds.
too bad they've just been so close- to sofia on the 15th nov. but good news: in prague on the 13th Dec!!!
also see *come to me* for the cheerful upside to this

feathery neardish
if there's no one beside you when your soul embarks...............
hehe, watcha think of the guy, ain't he a wuss? love it when he tries to lift his body and fails......seems like emotional fragility goes hand in hand with physical weakness.........but then again, i know people who can lift their bodies in a finger, but still cry oceans over girls.
