vali is sitting right beside me and nagging me about starting my first blog: "this is the visit-card of the future, sis!" all rightie, thus we must provide one to be able to show our face in the world, no matter how upset or enthusiastic or depressed or so on it may be. sadly enough i realized that posting in my mother tongue could be restrictive and against the real (no matter how much we fear it) tendency to use english as the new esperanto. moreover i have the wierd feeling that i can express myself better in english, maybe because i have been stopped along the way of discovering the beauty and intricacy of Romanian by this shiny new channel which inflitrated everything, ever since i can remember. i study in english, therefore i do most of my reading in english and often i start speaking english when too shy or too embarrassed.
*please notice that the capital "R" is not used haphazard but stands for my struggle against this phenomenon. Nevertheless, it is here inevitable, so it makes no further sense to bitch about it.
a few days ago i meet a guy riding his bike beside me, and started up a conversation about how unjustified leaving RO is. i didn't have all my arguments with me at the time, but hopefully i can make amends next time, if there will be one. in the meantime, i'll make this blog an arena for headbanging against this problem.
play safe, kids
